Consultant to the Gender, Rights, Cultural Diversity and Bioethics Area at the Pan American Health Organization in Washington.  MD from the Central University of Ecuador.

Has worked with teenagers at the Nayon parish of the Quito canton in strategies to prevent addiction to tobacco, alcohol and other drugs as an intern for the public health service in this sector. Provided voluntary medical advice to Support Center for people with addictions, located in Zaraguro-Loja. He was a consultant representing Ecuador at the Pan American Health Organization, focused on working with indigenous adolescents. As part of the Ministry of Public Health of Ecuador and in collaboration with international agencies such as PAHO and Plan International, created and developed the “Healthy Soccer Schools Cotopaxi” Initiative that raised an innovative model of comprehensive care for indigenous adolescents. The operating unit under his leadership was recognized for best practices in obstetric and neonatal care granted by a local project funded by USAID.

He has also participated as panelist and assistant to several events related to adolescent, communication, intercultural, disease prevention and fun techniques to improve the doctor-patient relationship.
