Degree in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1983), doctorate in Public Health from the University of Campinas (2001) and medical residence at the University of São Paulo (1986). He is currently the technical area coordinator of Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs. Has experience in the area of medicine, specializing in psychiatry.
