Organizing Committee

Pablo Cymerman.
Coordinator of the Organizing Committee. Responsible for Institutional Relations at Intercambios Civil Association. Professor and researcher at the University of Buenos Aires. Founding member and Executive Coordinator of the Argentine Harm Reduction Network. Degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires.

Ernesto Cortes.
Executive Director of the Costa Rican Association for the Study and Intervention in Drugs (Aceid). Professor of the Master’s Degree in Drug Dependence at the University of Costa Rica. Bachelor in Social Anthropology and Master in Criminology with emphasis in Human Security and Master in Mental Health.

Pien Metaal.
Political scientist and coordinator of the project on Latin America, part of the program of Drugs & Democracy of the Transnational Institute (TNI). Master of Political Science and International Relations of the University of Amsterdam.

Ana. Pecova.
Executive Director of EQUIS Justice for Women. She has worked as a consultant for several international organizations and worked at the Ford Foundation for Mexico and Central America, supporting projects in women’s human rights, migration and art programs. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Philosophy from the University of York in England and a Diploma in Research on transparency and access to information from the London School of Economics.

Julián Andrés Quintero.
Director of the ATS Corporation. He was a consultant on drugs issues for GIZ, Plan Internacional, Presidency of the Republic, Antonio Restrepo Barco Foundation, ILSA, Bogota City Hall and PAHO, among others. Bachelor in Sociology from the National University of Colombia and Master in Social Studies of Science and Technology at the University of Salamanca.

Zara Snapp. Co-founder of Instituto RIA.
Counselor of ReverdeSer Colectivo. International Advisor with Social Technical Action (Colombia). BA in Political Science from the University of Colorado in Denver. Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Harvard University.

Vanessa Uziely Rosario Brito.
President of the Board of Directors of the Center of Orientation and Integral Research (COIN). General Manager and founder of the Cooperative of Savings, Credits and Multiple Services in Primary Health Care. Law graduate, graduated from the Catholic University of Santo Domingo. Specialist (master’s degree) in Business Law from the Antonio de Nebrija University (Madrid).

Coletta Youngers.
Senior Adviser in the Washington Office for Latin American (WOLA), representative of the International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC) and member of the Collective of Drugs and Law Studies (CEDD). Master in Public Affairs of the Woodrow Wilson School of the University of Princeton.
