Guatemala’s Ambassador on Special Mission for the Reform of the Drug Policy. Is consultant and advisor in several Latin American countries for democratic  governance   issues, strategic security and transparency.

Was Minister of Foreign Affairs and Secretary of Strategic Analysis of the Presidency of the Republic. Coordinated the project “Recovery of Historical Memory” of the Episcopal Conference of Guatemala.

His latest book (Co-author) is “narcotics trafficking, corruption and States, how illicit networks have reshaped the institutions in Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico” (Mondadori, 2012)
