In its fourth edition, the Latin American Conference on Drug Policy has the following objectives:

• To favor an informed social debate in order to promote non-punitive drug policies based on scientific evidence and respectful of human rights, to efficiently respond to the diverse drug related problems.

• To generate a regional exchange between scholars, policymakers and civil society representatives with the purpose of updating drugs supply and consumption trends and drug related problems, as well as discussing alternative policies and interventions for the region.
