Has developed his professional career as researcher responsible for the Socio-economic area in the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Cochabamba in Bolivia (UMSS) GTZ Biogas Project – UMSS, Faculty of Agronomy (87-90). Research head of research team in Cochabamba CESAT NGOs (1991-1993). Remote teacher in Anthropology, Education Sciences and Philosophy at the Catholic University of Bolivia. (1995-2000). Research Associate of the Institute of Anthropological Research, “Formative Project”, University of Chapel Hill (North Carolina) and UMSS (1991-1993), Cochabamba. Co-Director of the Archaeological Research Project “Samaipata” (PIAS), University of Bonn and DINAAR. (1994 – 1995), Santa Cruz. Co-Director of Archaeological Research Project “Caraza Valley” Free University of Berlin – UMSS (1995 – 1997), Cochabamba.
Has worked a consultant and project coordinator of environmental and social fields, for government and nongovernmental organizations.
Has been member of CERAI (2003 – 2010), and coordinator of the first Global Illicit Crop Production, Barcelona (2009)
Currently:
- Invited Professor, University of Valencia, Spain, Administration and Management, since 2008.
- Thesis Advisor / different degrees / Higher Technical School of Agricultural Engineering and Environment (ETSIAMN) of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, since 2012.
- Coordinator of development program in Northern Albania / Shkoder /; AECID-CERAI (2009 – 2010)
- Associate Researcher at the Chair “Sustainable Earth” at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, since 2011.
- Coordinator of the Observatory of Declared Illicit Crops (2010-2012)
- Technical Director of the Observatory of Declared Illicit Crops, since 2012.
- Evaluator of programs and alternative development projects, since 2011.
Has wide experience in field studies on the agriculture of cannabis (marijuana) and cocaine.
