The Meeting of Government Representatives of the Portuguese Speaking African Countries on Drug Policy.
Organized by APDES-Agency Piaget for Development, this event will be attended by several government representatives of the Portuguese-speaking African countries, responsible for national drug policy. The meeting will be aimed at sharing information about each country, and focusing on folowing topics:
a) Social and legal framework in relation to drugs;
b) Current political framework (public health measures to control supply /attempts);
c) Best practices and implementation of interventional innovative measures;
d) Weaknesses and obstacles to the implementation of policy measures.
The central objective is the creation of mechanisms for dialogue and cooperation between South American countries and Portuguese-speaking African countries, creating partnerships of action, to adress the drug phenomena and its´ current global trends.
