Alejandro Poiré Romero. (Mexico). Technical Secretary of the National Security Cabinet and Speaker of the National Security Strategy.

Mexican politician has degree in Political Science from the Autonomous Technological Institute of Mexico, Master and Doctor in Political Science from Harvard University.

He currently serves as a technical secretary of the National Security Council, has held various assignments in the Interior Ministry as an advisor in the INEGI and as director of policy analysis in Presidency of Mexico.

Has published several studies about democratization, public opinion and political parties in books and specialized magazines and has lectured at over 20 universities in Mexico, United States, Latin America and Europe. He also held the Executive Office of Rights and Parties in the Federal Electoral Institute from 2003 to 2005. In the administration of President Felipe Calderon Poiré Romero has been CEO of Policy Analysis of the Office of the Presidency in 2007 and commissioned for Political Development in the Ministry of Interior in 2008.

From November 2008 to May 25, 2009 served as Coordinator of Advisors to the Secretary of the Interior, and May 26 of that year he was appointed Assistant Secretary for Population, Migration and Religious Affairs by President Felipe Calderon. In his various assignments in the federal government,  Pore has maintained  close contact with the various agencies that comprise the National Security Cabinet.

On August 19, 2010, was appointed by President Felipe Calderon as the new technical secretary of the National Security Council and Technical Secretary of the Security Cabinet and security spokesman, replacing Jorge Tello Peon.
