Carlos Tena Tamayo. (Mexico). National Commissioner against Additions (CONADIC)

Dr. Tena is a surgeon that graduated from the León Medical School at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico.  He specialized in internal medicine at the General Hospital of Mexico and cardiology at the “Ignacio Chávez” National Institute of Cardiology.  Additionally he graduated from the Special Program for Senior Executives at the IPADE Business School.

The doctor is a member of various medical societies including: the Mexican Society of Cardiology, the Mexican Academy of Surgery, Honorable Associate of the Mexican National Academy of Bioethics and Honorable Member of the College of Certified Specialized Doctors in the State of Guanajuato.

He has been the Secretary of Health for the State of Guanajuato, National Commissioner of Medical Arbitration, Medical Director of ISSSTE and, as of January 2011, National Commissioner against Addictions.  In his long academic career, he has published more than 50 articles.
