Giselle Amador. Director of the Institute on Alcoholism and Pharmaceutical Dependency (IAFA).

She is a graduate of the Master´s program in Drug Dependence at the University of Costa Rica. She is the director of the Institute on Alcoholism and Drug Dependency (IAFA). Currently she is a professor at the University of Costa Rica in the Department of Pharmacy and State Program on the Rights of Children and Adolescents (EDNA).

Since 2002 she has been and an advisor at the Latin American Master´s program on Drug Dependency CICAD OEA of the National Plan for Spain UNED Costa Rica. She is a member of the Directive Assembly of the Costa Rican Association of Adolescence and Youth. She has coordinated and participated in many different commissions, participated in diverse regional projects and has been recognized nationally and internationally.

Within her publications, we can highlight the preventative guides “I learned to support myself” IAFA 2004-2006, “The actual state of Public Health in Costa Rica: perspectives and challenges. Chapter: Approaching the real situation of drug use in Costa Rica, November 2010″, among others.
