José Enrique Zelaya Bonilla. Mexican Coordinator for the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS).

Doctor of Medicine, Master’s in Public Health with a Speciality in Epidemiology.

Current Coordinator of UNAIDS for Mexico and Guatemala since 2009, he has also acted as the USAID-Capacity Project Coordinator from 2006 to 2009, the UNICEF Subregional HIV Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean from 2004 to 2006, and the UNAIDS Coordinator for Central America from 1998 to 2004. Previously he served as the General Health Director and Director of Epidemiology for his country, Honduras, and provided consulting for PAHO/WHO and UNICEF.
