María Paula Romo Rodríguez. (Ecuador). Deputy of the National Assembly. Member of the New Left movement rupture 25.

Is a young politician and lawyer. Has a Master’s degree in “Government and Public Administration”. Subspecialties of Philosophy and Latin American Studies. Specialist in gender studies.

She has worked as a consultant, as an attorney with free exercise of the profession, and she is an undergraduate and graduate teacher at the San Francisco de Quito University at Ecuador’s Central University and in the National Institute of Advanced Studies, among others.

She also was Constituent Assemblywoman at the Legislation and Oversight Committee, chaired the Special Committee on Civil and Criminal. After the elections of April 2009 she was elected Assemblywoman by the Province of Pichincha. Today she is President of the Special Commission of Justice and State Structure of the National Assembly.
