Mary Ann Eddowes (Peru). Director of the Peruvian Coca Leaf Association and Member of the Transdisciplinary Committee of Traditional Medicine in Peru.

She is a spiritual lealer, and she was the founder of the Tawantinsuyu Community in Peru, an organization dedicated to promote traditional medicine. In 2005, she began organizing the International Coca Leaf Forum. Presently, as a board member of the Peruvian Coca Leaf Association (APEHCOCA), she continues promoting and organizing these forums, always defending traditional medicine.

She was a member of the Board of Advisors of the NGO One Heart Many Rhythms until 2006.
She served as the Head of Promotion at the National Confederation of Private Business - CONFIEP, responsible for organizing all the conferences , seminars and business meetings. She was also the director of the Special Events and Tourism Promotion Commission of Peru (PROMPERU) in which she organized events  in various provinces of Peru, Spain, Chile and the United States. She was the Professor of the Professional Congress Organization course  in the School of Management in Tourism from the Universidad San Ignacio de Loyola for 4 years.

In 2007. Antonio Orjeda, a journalist of the newspaper “El Comercio”, produced a book titled “Mujeres Batalla” (Warrior or Battle Women) containing interviews of empowered women in Peru, among whom Mary Ann is included. Currently, she is a member of a non-profit organization named “Asociación de Mujeres Batalla” (AMUBA), whose members have assumed the social responsibility of reinforcing human values in society to help women and youngsters in their paths towards personal empowerment.
